HR and Safety - They Are Not the Same Thing
The Lake County Safety Council is proud to present the January monthly program --- HR and Safety - They are NOT the Same Thing --- on Friday, Janaury 13. The keynote speaker will be Rose Ann Kay, SPHR, GPHR, SHRM-SCP, Principal, Humanics, LLC. Among other items, Kay will be discussing why it is not a great idea for organizations and businesses to just add safety responsibilities to HR representatives and for HR responsibilities to be added to safety personnel. She also will address how safety and HR personnel can complement each other and why they need to work together. Kay will delineate the differences and the similarities of the HR and safety roles. And she will give an overview of typical HR responsibilities and certifications. The meeting will be held at the Villa Croatia Event Venue & Party Center (The Croatian Lodge), 34900 Lakeshore Blvd., Eastlake, OH 44095, with registration beginning at 11:15 a.m. The cost of the event is $20 for members and $25 for non-members.
