LCSC and BWC April Awards Program

The Lake County Safety Council is proud to present the April Safety Awards Program on Friday, April 17.

The special keynote speaker will be Dr. Nancy Rodway, Lake Health, medical director of occupational health and urgent care centers.

Also, more than 150 companies and organizations will be honored at the luncheon for their stellar safety records and efforts in 2014.

Dr. Rodway will be discussing - Smoking Cessation - Smoking The Bottom Line Cost - the fifth program in the Lake County Safety Council's health and wellness series.

The meeting will be held at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites LaMalfa, with registration beginning at 11 a.m.

The cost of the event is $25 for members and non-members. Reservations may be made online at the LCSC web site listed below.

Nearly 220 Awards Given to More Than 150 Companies

More than 150 Lake County Safety Council member organizations and companies will be recognized on Friday, April 17 for their outstanding efforts in 2014 in safety promotion.

This includes more than 120 companies that had a completely clean safety record for 2014, with no reportable injuries resulting with time away from work.

It also includes almost 40 companies that improved their safety record for 2014 by 25 percent or more, and more than 30 companies or organizations that are multiple award winners.

Additionally 48 -- Special Awards -- will be handed out to those companies that recorded at least 500,000 consecutive hours and six months without a lost time injury.
