Oxy-Fuel & Compressed Gas Safety

The Lake County Safety Council is proud to present the February program -- Oxy-Fuel & Compressed Gas Safety.

This program will be presented by David Marquard, CEO and founder of Superflash Compressed Gas Equipment. He has more than 30 years of experience as a public speaker and lecturer on gas safety and has authored numerous publications.

His presentation includes demonstrations on oxygen and fuel gas safety, including the popular "William the Welder" oxygen saturation example.

Oxygen and fuel gas flame cutting and welding principles are reviewed, including required safety procedures.

Other items to be convered include:

---hazards of oxygen

---causes and hazards of reverse flow

---equipment choices

---safe handling of flame cutting and welding equipment

The meeting is at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites LaMalfa on Friday, February 17.

Registration begins at 11:15 a.m.

The meetiing cost is $20 for LCSC members and $25 for non-members.
